Dental implants in Whitefield, placed by a senior oral surgeon.

A missing tooth changes how you chew and smile, and the bone under the gap slowly shrinks. An implant replaces the root as well as the tooth, so it looks, feels and works like your own. At Dantoon, implants are planned with a 3D scan and placed by our senior oral and maxillofacial surgeon.

Who places your implant

Placing an implant is surgery, so at Dantoon it is done by a specialist: our senior oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Oral surgeons train specifically in surgery of the mouth and jaw. Dr. Srishti, our orthodontist, checks your bite so the new tooth fits the rest of your smile.

Frequently asked questions

Does getting an implant hurt?

The area is numbed, so you feel pressure, not pain. Most people manage with simple painkillers for a day or two.

How long does the whole process take?

Usually 3 to 6 months from placement to the final tooth, depending on healing and whether extra bone is needed.

Am I suitable for implants?

Most healthy adults are. Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes or thin bone need extra planning, which the surgeon checks at your consult.

How long do implants last?

With good cleaning and regular check-ups, implants can last for many years.

What happens if I wait?

The bone under a gap shrinks over time and nearby teeth can drift, so sooner is usually simpler.
